Millennium Electric was established in 1999 by Eng. Ami Elazari MBA, an Israeli entrepreneur who had been involved in the solar industry since the 1992. Initially the company called “SOLOR” and was integrator concentrated on designing and manufacturing solar panels primarily for residential use and MOD Security fence along the Israeli border. Presently the company has installed some 1268 MW of solar capacity worldwide, of which some 10 MW are (off-grid) PVT residential applications.

In 2003 the company merged in reverse merger to a NASDAQ shell and was a NASDAQ International Company for 4 years with market cap of $250 million. At that time one of the biggest in the world and the first Israeli solar company to do an exit. In 2007 the owner Ami Elazari did a buy back of the company shares.

 

In 2008 Millennium PVT MSS Co-Generation was chosen to be one of the most promising Israeli technologies to be presented at the Tomorrow Event held by the late President Shimon Peres in Jerusalem. In the beginning of 2009, Millennium had signed a strategic agreement of partnership with IEC (Israeli Electric Company) establishing, constructing and operating PV & WIND projects abroad, as project and technology leader.
